For Assessment 2, students will first need to access, read and reflect on a UN document report titled The Impact of Covid-19 on Indigenous Peoples. After reading the document, students will need to write a 1,800-2,000 word report on the impact and implications of COVID-19 on Indigenous peoples (With a focus on Australian Indigenous Communities within a global context - e.g. discuss the context of the global indigenous community around the world, then focus specifically on Australian Indigenous communities). This will include addressing the Community Impact, the Business Impact, and the Economic Discrepancies occurring between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Students will also need to write 1-2 recommendations that address these economic, social, and business discrepancies. The UN document will provide the starting point for your assessment, but this will require you to do additional research! Please make sure you do not go over the maximum word limit of 2,000 words. A 5% penalty will occur for every 50 words or part thereof - over the maximum word limit. This will be strictly enforced. The word limit INCLUDES in-text citations, headings, sub-headings, and anything else in the body of your paper. It DOES NOT include your cover sheet, table of contents (if applicable), summary, or reference list. More details about this assessment including the marking rubric are located below.
