For my current PSY 324: Memory and Cognition course, I implemented a new practice of having students share one psychology-related video of their choosing with the class. I hypothesized that sharing videos would increase their course satisfaction rating on the final course evaluations. In order to see if sharing videos increases satisfaction with the course, I compared course satisfaction scores from my current class to the existing pool of past course satisfaction scores from all my previous sections of PSY 324 prior to implementing video sharing. In other words, the new class that shared videos is my sample, which will be compared to the population of all of my past students. According to my records, the population of all past PSY 324 course satisfaction scores has a mean (,u) of 4.70 and standard deviation (0) of .7. The new class of 81 students had a mean (M) course satisfaction score of 4.84. I conducted a hypothesis test to see if the new class would have significantly differently final percentage scores from the population of past students. I am unsure if sharing videos will have a positive or negative impact on course satisfaction, so I am looking for a difference in either direction. The significance level for my 2 test was set at a: = .05
