For the assignment this week you will use the Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD). We will specifically be using the TGMD-3 which is the third version, however, we will also utilize some of the information from the TGMD-2 to help administer and analyze the motor performances. The instrument is available here Download here. You will be provided with the top demographic information (age, gender, handedness) but will need to watch the videos to score each subtest. You will then use the resources provided to calculated the raw scores, standard scores, percentile, gross motor quotient, and age equivalent score. You can find the scoring information on page 9 of the Examiner Manual. Download Examiner Manual. If the child performs a behavioral component correctly, the examiner marks a 1; if the child does not perform a behavioral component correctly, the examiner marks a 0. After completing this procedure for each of the two trials, the examiner totals the scores of the two trials to obtain a raw skill score for each item.
