For the last six weeks, you have learned about how HR impacts every facet within the organization. The topic of your this assignment will be: HR- A Strategic Partnership in the Workplace. Your presentation will be in a PowerPoint format addressing key stake holders on the importance of investing in HR. There is a million dollars on the line and this presentation will be the deciding factor. I advise you to research the topic and understand that all organizations not only need HR, but how do you persuade those who control the finances that don't have an HR background to continually invest in it's number one priority and that is its human capital? To help you begin on this project, I am going to give a few pointers to begin laying the foundation. The organization is within higher education and you serve as the VP of HR. Feel free to create a university or college of your choice. A logo, mission statement, vision, and core values should be included. These help to further explain your point of view. The organization's strategic plan is also a key source as HR's goals should always be in alignment with this plan. You don't have to create a strategic plan, but I wanted you to know how all the dots connect. The goals and objectives that are listed in the strategic plan typically gets funded. So always remember this. Presentation should cover every chapter in the textbook. For chapter 15, which focuses on global HR, because higher education has an abroad focus, this is important from a faculty recruitment standpoint. The presentation must be more than 20 slides, excluding the cover and reference slides. If you submit less than 20 slides, 100 points will be automatically deducted. Don't use a lot of clip art to take up the majority of the slides; Remember your audience. I encourage you to submit your early. grades will be posted immediately. This is NOT a cookie cutter assignment where you can simply say HR is important and we need to recruit and pay our employees well. Four references are required in APA format. If the textbook is a reference, it must be listed as well. No assignment will be graded without references and a 0 will be issued. Presentations should be colorful and engaging.
