For this Assessment students need to create a complete WHS system tailored to a nominated hospitality business. During class you will be directed by your trainer as to the type of Hospitality business to be used. You will also need to have a consultation with other students to discuss your business type and form a simulated WHS committee. Your trainer will allocate groups of four and allow three hours for this meeting. From this group discussion you will note committees' suggestions and complete your own WHS system with the aid of a template and examples. Remember this system MUST be tailored to your business, For Assessment 2 this WHS system needs to be implemented and reviewed. PART A Provide an overview of the activities carried out by your business. Include a statement for the structure, characteristics and needs of the organization. Access the state legislation relevant to your state of training and the Safe work website and identify the legislation that applies to the business. Identify the relevant Codes of Practice that apply for the business, for example Manual Handling; Managing the Work Environment and Facilities; Consultation etc
