Your Technical Report is written for an administrator or other person at NMC who can
distribute information to students. Choose an administrator who is responsible for
communicating with the group of students that you have identified. For example, if you
prepared informational documents for maritime students, you would address your report
to someone in maritime. If you have prepared informational documents for all NMC
students, you should address your memo to the administrator is in charge of
transportation issues:
Patrick Quinlan
Director of Campus Services

Alternatively, you could write your report for the editor of the White Pine Press or another
student group.
NOTE: You do not have to send your Technical Report to the administrator, but it makes
your writing task easier to practice writing to an actual person. See #

know at least something about the project, but you might know more than they do at this
point!

situation using first person as an example. Reference your sources for demographic
information about students. This should be several paragraphs.

the text document and illustration that you created for AA # Include the document and
illustration as attachments to the memo.
Create a references list for the sources you use for background and demographic
information. You do not need to include the texts you created on the reference list. Use

As stated, you don't have to send the Technical Report memo. If you are addressing
your report to Mr Quinlan, let me know whether you want to share it and I will deliver
the reports in bulk. If you know the person to whom you've addressed the memo an
instructor or department chair, for example you can send it yourself.
