Hi, Is this ? My name is Samantha, and I am calling from the PARAMOUNT & STATESIDE THEATRE. How are you today? I am just calling for a couple of quick things. First, I would like to THANK YOU for being such a valued member of our audience family! It means a great deal to us!

I noticed you joined us for (SHOW NAME). What was the highlight of your experience? We are thrilled you had a great time! On October 11, 1915, the Paramount opened its doors as Austin's premium stage for vaudeville, selling 1000 seats for 25cents a ticket [ and in 1916 Harry Houdini performed nine shows and, in the auditorium, just to the left of the painting of Saint Cecilia a hole was carved for Houdini to perform a suspended levitation trick.

The other reason for my call is that each year we get the chance to let people know about our incredible MISSION happening off-stage.

Our theatre has several outreach and educational programs that have a direct impact on underprivileged children in our community! The Story Wranglers is one of our standout educational programs that is instrumental in changing the lives of these less fortunate children. It's truly amazing! We bring in professional arts educators, known as the PARAMOUNT STORY WRANGLERS, to lead a seven-week-in school residency who work directly with the students teaching them the foundations of creative writing through arts-integrated lessons. During the residency the children write hundreds of stories and at the end of the seven weeks, these kids see their stories come to life on stage by our professional actors and educators THE PARAMOUNT STORY WRANGLERS in a breathtaking live performance in front of their peers and loved ones. This is a once-in-a lifetime experience especially for kids that would not otherwise have access to such profound arts education opportunities! Through this program children form lifelong memories and acquire skills that serve them well beyond the classroom!
