For this assignment, it will need to do conduct research for hacktivist attacks which occurred within the past 5 years. This attack can be from any country, nation-state, or organization.

After you find an attack to discuss, use PowerPoint to create a presentation which gives a brief history of the attack, create slides describing what you, as the systems administrator, can do in your organization to either avoid the attack altogether or to at least alleviate the impact to the non-profit organization.

Learning from history can be a great way to avoid the same mistakes!

You may use any PowerPoint template you wish for your presentation, as long as it is IMPACTFUL. If you don't have PowerPoint in your Microsoft Applications, you can use Google Slides, and save it in PowerPoint format. If you use Google Slides, please let me know. Do not put excessive amounts of writing on your actual slide. They should be limited to just a few points. Provide detailed notes in the note area, which you want me to read to understand the bullet points you present, and any other details notes which you feel are pertinent to your presentation.

You may, if you wish to earn up to an additional 10 points Extra Credit on this assignment. You can earn extra credit if you actually "present" this to me through one of the various methods available in Canvas. You can present through Panopto, a recorded Zoom session, or you may check with Multi-modal Services, for other ways to "present" your presentation. If you elect to record and present your presentation, DO NOT make your presentation more than 15 minutes. A Recorded presentation is not required. You will not increase your assignment score. However, if you may feel you need additional points, which may help you later in the course, a recorded presentation is a great way to practice your presentation skills, and earn a little extra credit.
