- Your plan should include orientation activities specific to the HIM department assume the employee has already attended an organization-wide orientation so you dont need to include activities such as benefits review or other corporate policy review. (Think about what someone new coming into the department should know about the department)
- Include at list of at least three documents you would have the employee review.
- Include at least three other activities besides document review that would orient the employee to the department/staff.
- Your plan should also include orientation activities specific to training for the release of information position. (Think about what a new release of information technician will need to know to perform the job consider equipment, information systems, software applications, procedures, and resources.) Assume that your organization has an electronic health record.
