For this assignment, you are being asked to analyze data from the National Teachers of Excellence (NTE). NTE is a national certification organization that certifies educators who have gone above and beyond "the call of duty" in educating children and adolescents.

Recently, the organization has been concerned with an overall "low morale" and are worried the organization's culture is trending the wrong direction. To this end, they have reached out to you and asked for you to review some data they recently collected and help them make sense of it all. NTE has identified three evaluation questions (EQs) that get to the heart of what they are after.

Evaluation Questions (EQs)

These are the specific EQs you need to address.

  1. EQ1: NTE leadership is concerned that overall unrest with the organizational culture is being driven by unhappiness with current levels of compensation. Is there a positive, negative, or no relationship between salary and culture ratings? What does this imply about the impact salary is having on culture ratings?
  2. EQ2: NTE is considering offering more opportunities for employees to work remotely from their home or residence, rather than commuting to the headquarters daily, in an effort to boost morale and help the environment. Leadership has decided that once at least one-fourth, or 25%, of NTE employees describe their commute as "Long", they will begin offering this option. What percentage of NTE employees categorize their commute as "Short", "Moderate", and "Long", and has the threshold of 25% for "Long" commutes been met?
  3. EQ3: If a culture problem is identified at NTE, leadership has acknowledged that it may vary across departments and it may be necessary to prioritize interventions. How do the departments compare to one another in their average culture ratings? Is there a department that would benefit most from an intervention; if so, which? Is there a department that is performing very well based on their culture ratings and could serve as an example to others; if so, which?
