For this assignment, you will need to interview a human resource manager or someone in a similar or related function at your company or a company to which you have access. The interview can be conducted face to face or via Skype (or similar service).

You may schedule an in-person appointment, phone appointment, or use online resources such as Skype or GoTo Meeting to complete this requirement. An email could be a potential alternative choice, but only after the previous options have been requested and declined. If you still have concerns about meeting this requirement, contact your instructor for additional guidance.

You will first develop a series of questions to ask during the interview. The interview should include the following questions:

• What makes an effective human resources manager?
• What are your strategies and practices in:
  • Recruitment and hiring?
  • Training and development?
  • Performance evaluation?
  • Employee discipline?
  • Employee retention?
• How important is it to ensure diversity and inclusion?
• What efforts are made to ensure diversity and inclusion?
• How important is it to ensure a healthy and happy workplace?
• What do you do to ensure a healthy and happy workplace?

In addition to these questions, you can ask additional questions. The responses should be transcribed under the questions. Then develop an analysis of the responses. How do they relate to best practices, theories and what youve researched? Finally, develop recommendations based on the current process and best practices. The paper should have an introduction, the questions, responses, analysis, recommendations, and conclusion.

Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages

References: Include a minimum of 5 peer-reviewed scholarly resources Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
