For the project, you will be required to:

1) Explore, in-depth, a topic pertaining to HRM (choose a topic from the list below)

2) Search for media sources (newspapers, videos). You need to provide a summary of the UAE governments interventions/ policies during the COVID-19, related to HRM (employees, work), based on what was published in the media. A table detailing the title of the article, the name of the newspaper, the name of the author(s), the link of the journal or video, and the date of publication of the article (the table needs to be provided in the Appendix)

3) Interview (online), if possible, a human resource manager and find out more about that topic and how it applies within his/her organization in UAE, and to discuss the challenges and opportunities of an organization OR to use secondary data related to a company in UAE (website, public documents, reports)

4) Perform a literature review based on peer review articles (6 articles)

5) Kindly refer to the structure of the written report

You can select any of the HRM topics listed below as the major theme of your literature review and interview, and you need to link the chosen topic to the challenges of the COVID-19 Strategic Human resource management

Human resource management in SMEs (Small or Medium company size)

Human resource management in the private or public sector

The report should be 6-8 pages in length (and no more than EIGHT pages), typed in 12 pts. Times New Roman font and 1.5 line spacing. Margins of 25 mm all around (top, bottom, right, and left) should be used. The citations of references in the text should be according to the APA referencing style. A minimum of 6 references will be required.

Plagiarism:

You are not allowed to copy and paste any material from the internet of your fellow colleagues. However, some amount of work may be somewhat similar to the material available on the website due to the utilization of details about the company background but I still recommend writing it in your own words to make it a genuine study.

If you are interviewing an HR manager, the interview could cover several parts including:

Introduction and overview of the company

HR issue/problem the company has been facing or has faced in the past (related to the chosen topic)

Solutions implemented to rectify the issue/problem

The interview can also discuss the human resource planning process the organization undertakes for the short-term, medium-term, and long-term.
