For this individual assignment, please complete two different decision models on the same consideration set of choice options that you, yourself, determine.
Pick a product category that you are/would be interested in choosing from that are:
a. a high-effort choice for you (this may vary by person, but pick something you would choose vemy carefully and with a lot of thought), and
b. reasonably complex, that is, each option can be described along 5 shared attribute dimensions. These attribute dimensions should be objective (like cost, size, star rating, battery life....) rather than subjective (such as "liking" of the brand). The attribute dimensions should also be on an interval or ordinal scale (e.g. price in dollars; rank in some product test) and NOT categorical (e.g, attributes like "does job offer 40Ik yes or no;" or "color: red, green, or blue" CANNOT be used.)
Suitable categories may be cars, bikes/sports/tech equipment, grad school programs, apartments, or post-grad jobs, but you can use any high-effort choice.
Identify 5 alternatives to consider. These alternatives must have some variance on the attributes -comparing 5 bikes that all cost $499 makes price meaningless! (I point)
a. Complete the table below with your 5 options, name each attribute, and indicate for each attribute which end is better (e.g, for a mattress, a key attribute may be softness, so specify if softer = better or harder = better). Rank the attributes from most important (1st row)) least important (5th row).
b. Fill in the value for each optiften for each attribute. Please do the necessary research and fill in real values
