For this project, you will need to design your own retail store (not a franchise chain!), and consider the many facets of business that retailers must deal with as they design their own stores.

1. What is the name of your retail store? What types of products will you sell? Where will you locate the store?
2. Who is your target market(s)?
3. How will the stores interior be organized? Draw a diagram of the stores interior, labeling departments, aisles, and the preferred course of traffic with arrows. How will the traffic flow you designed maximize store profits?
4. Where will the checkouts be located (include them in the diagram)? How will this prevent theft? What (if any) other security measures you plan on implementing?
5. Where will inventory be stored? How will it be delivered?
6. What atmospherics will you use (music, lighting, colors, etc.) to influence purchasing?
7. How will the exterior (store front) appear?
