For this Recruiting Assignment I chose to do a Romantic Partner For this assignment you will view the process of seeking out the person you described in the previous assignment (job analysis) through the lens of human resource recruiting. In other words, rather than recruiting for a typical job you will be recruiting for that relationship type. If I am looking for a new veterinarian for my pets (i.e., recruiting a new veterinarian), what process would I use? Each of the sections listed in the instructions can be covered in this unique context. In the recruiting stage we build an applicant pool to choose from. This is not to be confused with selecting the employee, which happens in the selection stage. At this point we are simply looking for talent to apply. You will write the report in first person (i.e., for you). The purpose is to apply the concepts from the textbook but in a unique way. Applying concepts in different ways can be a useful exercise that helps with deeper learning and demonstrates mastery through generalizing across different contexts. I also want you to see just how similar this type of relationship is to that of an employee-employer relationship. Our choices to engage in relationships of any type follow similar patterns and have similar requirements.
