For this week's discussion, the first website that I decided to use was amazon.com for an e-commerce website. As you navigate through the website, you are bombarded with products to purchase from suggestions to random items. The way you are able to keep track of your purchases is by adding items to your cart and also looking at your past orders from your profile. This specific website does use HTTPS which is a secure transmission for e-commerce. At the moment, I would not recommend any changes to the website as it is already user-friendly.

The next website that I used for the nonprofit website was redcross.org where I went to make an inline donation. The way they are able to keep track of your donations is by sending you a receipt to your email as well as asking for either your credit card information or your PayPal account. This website also uses the https security layer in order to provide a safe and secure donation transaction. Overall, this website is easy to use and navigate through so I wouldn't really make many suggestions but one suggestion I would make is to make it easier to change languages. On the top of the page, you are able to change the language to Spanish, but I think they should also add more languages.

For the government website, I decided to go to the cook county treasurer's website and go as if I was going to pay my property taxes. The way you are able to track your payments is by providing your personal information as well as either a payment card or an e-check. This website just like the other two also uses the HTTPS protocol to protect the information of the person. The improvement I would make to this website is to allow a person to pay taxes on multiple houses all at once because right now you can only pay for one property at a time.
