Select a product or service idea for Quality Function Deployment $($QFD$)-$ House of Quality Process. Your idea could be about developing a new product$/$service or improving an existing product$/$service$.$

Develop the customer requirements for the house of quality using online sources or customer survey. To develop the customer requirements you need to go through the following steps:

Create an affinity diagram of customer comments$/$complaints$/$survey results. After creating the affinity diagram create a tree diagram to further refine the customer needs and develop customer requirements.

Use a tree diagram and$/$or affinity diagram to refine$/$create$/$select the technical requirements for the HOQ $($Page $288$ or $303-$Section Title: SELECTING TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS HOWS HOUSE OF QUALITY MATRIX NUMBER $3)$

Fill out the rest of the house of quality matrix sections. Information about how to fill out the HOQ matrix is given on the Chapter $17-$ Quality Function Deployment of the Textbook.

Overall the final assignment should include the following deliverables:

a$.$ General information about product or service to be improved$/$developed$.($Word Doc. Format$)$

b$.$ Customer needs$/$complaints data obtained from online sources or surveys. And the description of how you gathered the customer needs complaints $($Word Doc. Format$)$

c$.$ Completed Affinity and Tree Diagram that you used in refining customer needs. $($Word Doc. Format$)$

d$.)$ Competitive benchmarking data on competitive products and services that you use to compare your product and$/$or service against $($Check Figure $17\mathrm{.}5$ on textbook for an example of how that data is represented on HOQ matrix$)$

f$.$ A separate excel file that contains fully completed House of Quality with calculations. When you complete your house of quality matrix it should resemble the matrix on Figure $17\mathrm{.}11$ on Page $295/310$ of your textbook.
