EX $9-1$ Project: Instrument Logistics Analysis

In this module, you will learn how to use the Instrument Logistics Analysis workbook shown in Figure $9-1.$ Instrument Logistics is a small company that receives shipments of musical instruments from manufacturers, which it then distributes to wholesalers around the country. To ship its goods, the company purchases extra space on trucks from trucking firms. This week they are wanting to ship three types of instruments currently in stock: guitars, drum sets, and keyboards. Typically, the company deals with the instruments' physical volume in cubic feet, the weight in pounds, the profit per instrument, and the number of instruments in stock. The company will need to enter the number of each instrument to ship, making sure it is one or more, and less than, the number in stock. The objective is to maximize the profit while filling up as much of the truck as possible.
