Formulate a response to this post by a classmate: Being new to project management in a company with no project methodology, making a project charter a priority is both necessary and valuable (Project Management Institute, 2021). I would explain to the project sponsor that a charter serves more than a bureaucratic purpose; it helps align the project, sets up authority and provides clarification about scope, objectives and stakeholders' responsibilities. I would like to open the presentation by pointing out some major positive aspects of using a project charter. Among these are defining both objectives and deliverables, all stakeholders agreeing on the project's expectations, outline key roles and responsibilities, approve the project manager to act on resources and decisions and limit rescope by outlining defined limits (Kerzner, 2025). In addition, I believe that without a charter, there is more potential for misunderstanding, stretched timelines and unnecessary budget costs
