a) Develop a time series plot and comment on the underlying pattern of the data. What type of model seems most appropriate to develop a forecast for this data?

b) Develop a forecasting model for the data. If more than one model option is available, provide a summary of your analysis of each option including (R-square, F-test, residual plots, and significance of coefficients) to justify your choice of model.

c) Forecast sales from January through December of the fourth year.

d) Assume that January sales for the fourth year turn out to be $295,000. What was your forecast error? If the error is large, Karen may be puzzled about the difference between your forecast and the actual sales value. What can you do to resolve her uncertainty about the forecasting procedure?
