Gabriela Guerra, a software engineer, has worked at a software company for $2$ years. Last week, she found out that her salary is considerably lower than the male software engineers' salaries in her department. She was already upset about the fact that she had repeatedly been told not to speak Spanish at work, even though part of her job was to translate for employees who only spoke Spanish. Gabriela contacted the EEOC to discuss her complaints.
