Gencon Contracting is concerned about coverage gaps that might exist when its EPLI policy comes up for renewal or replacement. In order to ensure continuous coverage, Gencon should make sure that the retroactive date of the renewal or replacement policy is the same (or earlier) than the retroactive date of the expiring policy or (Search Chapter 5) a. buy an extended reporting period in the replacement policy. b. buy an extended reporting period in the expiring policy. c. renew the expiring policy rather than buy an entirely new policy. d. amend the expiring policy to change the date of expiration
