General Instructions

When submitting your assignment, you must include:

$4.$ Any assignments which are products of plagiarism, will receive a mark of ZERO, and reported to the Dean for Academic Dishonesty.

$5.$ References $-$ No outside research is necessary but please cite the textbook in your assignment. If you choose to use outside sources, please cite as well. In$-$text citations are expected.

Without citation, there is a possibility of a mark of ZERO.

Carly and Sarah were both senior employees of Matchbox Inc. Carly had signed an employment agreement when she started. Later into her role, Matchbox Inc presented a new agreement with more stringent non$-$competition and non$-$solicitation covenants for Carly to sign, which she did. There were no new advantages given to Carly for signing, just more conditions on her employment; Carly felt obligated to sign, although she did not want to$.$ When Sarah started, she signed the same employment agreement that Carly signed.

Carly and Sarah soon after resigned from their roles with no notice, and immediately worked for a competitor corporation, Matches Inc., who had been luring them to leave. Before she left, Sarah downloaded a client list, and other confidential trade secret documents.

There were further issues at Matchbox Inc. with another employee, Ronnie. Ronnie was seventy years old and was not working as efficiently as when he first started thirty years ago. Matchbox Inc. grew frustrated and took Ronnie off his clerk duties and assigned him janitorial duties instead without his consent. When this happened, a few other employees began to tease Ronnie and throw garbage on the ground for him to pick up$.$ When Ronnie reported it to Management; they did nothing to help solve the issue of restoring his old duties, or investigating the teasing. Ronnie felt as though he had no choice but to resign.
