generate a response agreeing with this classmate's discussion post: From my experience with the juvenile court system, I feel like juvenile court is too lenient. The Jefferson County Juvenile Court system fails both the parents and the children. Their refusal to act shows juvenile delinquents that they have too many chances to mess up before they have to face the consequences of their actions. I understand that the juvenile court system was set up as a way to rehabilitate minors rather than enforce lengthy sentences and that is a benefit to the children as long as it is handled appropriately. There are two Judges for the juvenile court system in Birmingham. I have taken a juvenile to the Birmingham juvenile detention facility, and the minor (who has been there multiple times) asked the supervisor that is familiar with him "what do you think they will do with me?", the supervisor said, "Depends on which judges is handling your case." The inconsistencies within the juvenile court system need to be addressed, and they need to rework their policy
