Good Evening Class, Leadership provides general direction from a position of influence to groups and individuals to attain successful goals. It also gives you a voice and the ability to communicate across cultural barriers. Many organizations don't have culture that supports or encourages diverse leaders in higher positions, which decreases confidence in women leadership roles. Policies and practices that favor male employees, can impede women's advancement. Women may be perceived as too emotional or not assertive enough. Women always have to overcome assumptions about their capabilities and actions due to their gender. Women may not receive the same advancement and leadership opportunities as male peers and experienced female executives are brought into organizations at a lower level than their male counterparts. Research have shown that diversity, promotes productivity and can help organizations innovate. Organizations with a higher number of women in leadership positions, tend to be those in which harassment is less likely to occur
