Group Assignment - Ocean's Eleven WEEK THREE - Group Paper - Ocean's Eleven Analysis Paper (due Day 7 of Week Three, 150 points maximum) The class will be divided into small learning groups. Students should watch the 2001 film, Ocean's Eleven. Ocean's Eleven is a 2001 American heist comedy film directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by Ted Griffin. The film is a remake of the 1960 Rat Pack film of the same name. Ocean's Eleven features an ensemble cast, including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadie, Andy Garcia, Bernie Mac and Julia Roberts. The story follows friends Danny Ocean (Clooney) and Rusty Ryan (Pitt), who plan a heist of $160 million from casino owner Terry Benedict (Garcia), the lover of Ocean's ex-wife Tess (Roberts). In a paper of 5-7 pages, students should analyze the project planning, development, and management showcased in the film. Research and identify such changes, while providing example of their effectiveness (or lack there of). Furthermore, students should analyze the methods operations managers employ in order to maximize overall productivity of their operations. Students should utilize research, expert testimony and reference in basing arguments, and in supporting and defending their positions.
