Each student is required to:

identify and/or develop a comprehensive plausible scenario that raises critical ethical issue(s) a contemporary organization of your choice face with regard to the sustainability agenda;

propose 3-5 questions that would guide your ethical analysis;

analyze the ethical issues you suggested:

explain a shift towards sustainability from the perspectives of ethics,

apply the ethical reasoning to identify and respond to sustainability demands of various stakeholders groups;

propose solutions to the ethical problems in the suggested business context of your scenario

draw implications of the issues and their impact on management practice. This analysis should be in the form of an approximately 5 page double-spaced paper with references both from the course reading text and outside sources (excluding references).

The Project 1 report is due by the beginning of the eighth (8th) week of the course. Assessment criteria

1. Address all relevant issues identified in the Project 1 instructions and additional issues you identify as a result of your research and analysis. Both the breadth and depth of your analysis will be evaluated.

2. Demonstrate evidence of critical analysis, synthesis, and self-reflection. Please make sure that your arguments are highly critical and reflect your understanding of appropriate concepts, theories, and tools you use for completing your analysis. You are expected to demonstrate a good grasp of textbook materials and good capability of using them to analyze the discussed issues.

3. Demonstrate evidence of research and use examples to support your ideas and arguments. Please make sure that both theory and empirical evidence are masterfully interwoven and inform your argumentation.

4. Draw implications of the issues and their impact on international management practice and provide a set of well-supported recommendations for actions to resolve the identified issues.

5. Please make sure that your work meets the writing standards: grammar, syntax, organization, coherence, citing, and referencing.
