Guidelines: Stats Project: Topic (Are Husbands older than their wives) 1. Introduction: All projects should include an introduction that provides the reader with an overview of the project. Overview content should tell the reader what is being researched, when the data was collected, how the data was obtained and other pertinent background information. 2. Description of the method of analysis: All projects should include statements on the method of analysis and why the specified method of analysis was selected. The analysis must include: a. A null and alternative hypothesis relevant to the project introduction, b. An assumptions check (when necessary) c. A test statistic d. P-value and/or a critical value e. The results of the analysis. 3. Relevant graphs, statistical displays, test results, etc: All projects should contain graphic displays in support of the conclusion of the study under investigation. 4. Conclusion: All projects should contain a concluding paragraph that summarized the results of the study in non-technical vocabulary. 5. Reflection: The project should end with a reflection on how this project might be improved if time and money were not factors.
