Process A uses a new technology and the cost per unit produced by this process is Cost 5 P=3++0.04N1.4 unit NA where Na = number units produced by A There is an older technology available, Process B, that is also capable of producting the unit we wish. For this process train the cost per unit is Cost 7 unit = 2 + N +0.02N3.3 N where Ng = number of units produced by B We have an order to produce 1000 units. How many units should we produce using each process to minimize the total production cost for the batch
