Hello, I entered this class knowing it was where I had the biggest gaps in my knowledge for the dissertation. I was hopeful that this would help me solidify the direction to go with my research design and know the right tools for the job. I do feel that this class has helped me understand better what tests are appropriate for each of the quantitative research designs. As it happens, that has also helped me to understand better how the data collected and the variables all need to align with the statistical tests as well (or vice versa). I am finding myself now at a decision point on whether I want to continue with the path that I have chosen so far, or go in a different direction. I think I'm perhaps forcing my archival data into a box that it doesn't really fit into. As I think and study on it more, I am even considering if this is the topic that I want to continue with. So for many reasons this class was of immense benefit. The biggest thing I need to do to defend my proposal at this point is decide if this is the right topic
