Hello, I need help with this chemical engineering problem. Please i need every step explained well for the resolution of the exercise.
A patient's blood was centrifuged in a capillary tube. The total height of the blood column inside the capillary is 3.5 cm and the column of cells packed at the bottom of the column is 1.8 cm. Furthermore, through blood analysis, it was determined that the concentration of hemoglobin in the blood is 0.12 g/mL. The number of red blood cells measured with the hemocytometer is equal to 4*10^6 cells per 1 mm.
a) Determine the hematocrit of the blood sample examined;
b) Estimate the average volume of a red blood cell in the analyzed sample;
c) Determine the volume occupied by hemoglobin inside the red blood cell knowing that the density of hemoglobin is equal to 1.34 g/cm^3
