Based on the executives, the AAA (laptop) is for the Costcutter and BBB for the Workhorse segments. Workhorse brands were placed in the APAC region. The manufacturing headquarter is located in Japan. The workhorse segment attracted the company because it is the largest customer group in this region. This segment requires an easy-to-use PC for office workers (Marketplace Live Data, 2022). The analysis showed that customer needs of the workhorse segment require secure, easy-to-use software, a multi-purpose workstation,a monitor that is easy on the eyes, and a lower price. Using patterns is essential because it will attract customers who want to buy a product., Therefore, the brand offered business graphics, presentations, databases, bookkeeping, web design, games, and security. However, the company later realized that some of the benefits were minimal and not well aligned with customer needs and use patterns.
The Costcutter segment AAA was another appealing segment because of the size of demand. The Costcutter segment is the second largest segment that requires simple and inexpensive computers for office applications. Nevertheless, this segment is price sensitive with inelastic demand. Therefore, this brand offered its lowest prices, yet did not conform to customer needs and use patterns. In this segment, customers wanted the lowest complexity for operators, easy to use, with little training, easy to set up, and so on. The method of minimizing features to reduce cost-created disadvantages for _______. In turn, the company intended to offer a basic computer and did not offer office essentials.
The entry stage for the company was an attempt to familiarize itself with the market. The response showed that the brands did not meet their full potential. Initially, the company tried to offer the least components or felt it was offering a basic model that would appeal to customers. However, _______ recognizes that it misapplied and misinterpreted the benefits. Therefore, _____ will analyze all of the information on customers' needs, use patterns, competitors' brands and ads, price judgments, and so on.
