Hello Supervisors, This communication is intended to clarify some elements of the email sent to supervisors on 10/6/2023 regarding timekeeping. Union Health Service, Inc. ("UHS") as an employer hires employees for various work responsibilities. Employees are expected to be timely and present at UHS to perform their work responsibilities during their scheduled work hours. Please communicate (verbal and written) clear expectations to your team member(s) (UHS employee) up-front regarding their work schedule (i.e., scheduled work days, work hours, start and end times, breaks, etc.) in a timely manner and as often as necessary. Ensure timely attention and responsiveness with mutual professionalism and respect. Demonstrate clear leadership and supervision of each of your team member's (UHS employee) attendance. Coaching and progressive discipline should be based on UHS' attendance standards and the appropriate union's collective bargaining agreement ("CBA"). When an employee is tardy, please immediately address the tardiness with the tardy employee. For employees that are late to work and punch in tardy, please do not use the employees' accrued earned vacation or sick hours for the time not present at work during their scheduled work day, without the employees' consent and request (except as determined by federal or state laws).
