Question: Layla had entered into an agreement for the purchase of MPV by installment with Markius Motors Sdn Bhd at January 2020 in which she received a loan from Jutawan Finance Bank for nine years installment. Unfortunately, she defaulted payment for three consecutive months starting from September 2020. Jutawan Finance Bank sent a notice of repossession to Layla and one week after that the bank repossessed the MPV. Advice Layla on her rights with reference to the Hire Purchase Act 1967.
