Help out, please!

Address a real or potential negotiation situation. The student will describe the situation, provide a diagnosis and develop a strategy for negotiation. It is recommended that this Case deal with a personal situation. The proposal for Case #1 is intended to provide an overview of the Case with the opportunity to receive informal comments from the professor.

The following is intended to provide clarity regarding the requirements for the Case studies. The final product for both Case #1 and Case#2 will be approximately 5 pages double spaced containing the following: 1. A cover page identifying the name and number of the Case, along with your name and student number. 2. Appropriate page numbers throughout the document. 3. The use of appropriate headings throughout the document. (The headings will be related to the steps identified in the Negotiation Panning Guide mentioned in item 7 below) 4. A brief description of the situation (that you identified in the proposal) and your potential role as a negotiator. 5. Clearly identify "goals for the negotiation. 6. An identified overall strategy or approach that you intend to take. 7. The document will address all of the steps listed in the Negotiation Planning Guide on page 58 of the Essential of Negotiation text and therefore represent a completed Negotiation Plan. (If it is challenging to determine answers to any of the questions in the negotiation guide you can discuss that challenge and speculate on how answers might be determined.) The final product is a document that would be completed in preparation for a potential negotiation. While the Case Study does not require the actual negotiation itself it would be valuable and appropriate to participate in a real negotiation either during or after completing this course
