This is a great topic wheh I have not discussed or experienced in any other master's course, While playing baseball my whole life has brought me many coaches which makes it difficult to pick the best one who has had a impact on my career and also in life. Many of the coaches that 1 have had in life are similar but the best conch I have had who motivated me and develop as the best person till today is Rick ODDette which is the head baseball coach at Saint I, eo Univeristy. This coach stuck by my side during tough and difficult times in life and on the baseball field. This coach cared about myself as a person and treated me as family as just another player on his team. This coach brought us players to his house for thanksgiving and also christmas which showed how much he actually cared about us individually. This conch got the most out of myself due to by the relationship he built between us. He always reached out to me during the day and even at mght. Till this day after moving on and playing my last year of elgibility here at Saint Ambrose, this coach still reached out due of my success from the past seaon One thing this coach did that stood out to me the most is focusing on life and the "real world" rather than just practicing and communicating about baseball. This coach took pride in the classroom and always worried about what are grades and GPA was. As you witness and experience other coaches as 1 have had many, some coaches did not care about school or grades which also stood out to me. At the end of the day baseball will not always be there and a job will come right after is which something he would always say. We would also have zoom sessions with business advisors who would help us with our resumes and job applications and also interviews. Another thing why this coach has impacted me as a person is his caring about the future for myself rather than just baseball in the present. This coach was trying to make a better person on and off the field Getting a coach to help me in my current situation would have to be caring and building a family type relationship between us. Some coaches I have experienced in the past did not care about myself as a person and did not want to make me get better in my profession. Marny coaches 1 also experienced were hands off instead of hands on which created bad habits and continued these habits which did not help myself for the futare. The coach I would wantto help my current position would need to help and also push myself to be the best I can be to help the success for the present and in the future for myself. The coach sbould hold myself accountable for any actions that I create and tend to motivate myself every day through every objective and task in which I encounter in the workplace. Another thing to help myself is to view this coach as someone you can trust and who will stay loyal to you through tough and difficult times. Witnessing and experiencing this allows yourself to be more involved and communicate better between each other. Coaching leads to better mediating and negotation due to active listening. Being a great coach has to have great listeaing skalls which the skills can come from other coaches which they keep with them which helped their success as something I experienced and keep with me till this day. As playing for the best coach 1 experienced allowed myself to keep his words and sayings with me till this day which help me with facing adveristy and negative times also as experiencing conflicts in the warkplace which I need to resolve. This allows interventions to become created and help solve the conflicts in whic we may face by using mediation and negotiation. A couple questions to think about. 1.
