You have recently completed your Degree in Human Resource Management. You are now jobhunting. The burden of student loans looms overhead and so you have decided to get a job until you are able to follow your career path the way you would like. A Mid-Sized Boutique Hotel posts an ad on a local bulletin board highlighting they are seeking an Administrative Assistant and outline the time and place for interview for anyone interested. You decide it's worth the try. During your interview the panel consisted of Mr. Looran the owner of the company and his assistant. He asks all the questions but the nature of the questions has you quite taken aback. He asks if you own your own home. If you plan to ever get a college degree (mind you he never asked if you had one to begin with) and he asks if you know your multiplication tables. As if this isn't strange enough, without outlining the expectations affiliated with the job or seeking to find out if you have any administrative knowledge he hires you and offers you $5000 monthly. He never even opened the folder containing your resume. For this scenario assume the role of an HR Specialist and answer the questions outlined above. 1.What's wrong here? What is the issue/problem 2. What should have been done? 3. Highlight the appropriate response to the issue. 4.
