I believe that the book Small is Beautiful by well-known British Economist E.F. Schumacher is not completely relevant in the present age of technology. Though the book is a masterpiece based on the use of appropriate technologies, advancing or achieving your goals in bits or small parts for that policies to be implemented and it is a polity to the hardcore believe that bigger is better. It was relevant to the industrial era of the 1970s which faced the 1973 energy crisis, Social, Economic, and Environmental Issues, and the globalization concept that was new in those times. Most of the intellectuals of the 1970s were concerned about the alienation caused by industrial development and consumer society, displayed in carefully designed objects of everyday use. The contemporary world is largely dependent on technology from e-commerce for goods and services, the crucial role of the internet as the most important means of communication through the exchange of messages, pictures, video clips, virtual meetings, Wikipedia, Blogs, all these are referred to as Web 2.0. Though the modern world is highly developing with technology there are matters of grave concern n the end of privacy caused by the web by collecting and distributing the personal information retrieved from consumers.
