Hey there this is the project that we are working on using Marketing Research knowledge. We are asked to come up with the Questionaire. I have list the description below as well as some questions we have come up with. Can you give me/ suggest me some questions?
Project to Diversify Provincial Motorcycle Coalition 2022 Organizational
Description: CMMG* (Coalition of Manitoba Motorcycle Groups) is the voice of Manitobas motorcycle riders with all levels of government and with Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI). CMMG is the official Intervener for motorcyclists at the Public Utilities Board (PUB) representing motorcyclists unique concerns and interests. The CMMG has achieved significant insurance rate reductions through our representations. We also promote motorcycle safety, training and awareness in collaboration with the Provincial Government, Winnipeg Police, Manitoba Safety Services, City of Winnipeg and MPI. CMMG was instrumental in initiating the Mandatory Motorcycle Training Program and its recommendations were incorporated into the graduated licensing program. CMMG is a non-profit, membership-based ($25/year) organization with groups, riding clubs, motorcycle businesses and individuals contributing membership fees to maintain a very small administrative budget that essentially keeps the basic business of the organization running. There are also a few initiatives that promote womens riding and safety awareness (including an annual motorcycle rally at the provincial legislature). CMMG also has an affiliation with Motorcycle Confederation of Canada (MCC)**, a national motorcycling organization. There are over 15,000 registered motorcycles in Manitoba.
Membership profile: The typical membership riding club is a group of riders and passengers who go on planned rides most of the summer weekends and some weekday evenings. Motorcycle clubs also participate in charity fundraisers for local charities and causes; eg, St Amant fundraising ride, Breast Cancer Ride, Ride for Dad etc. Many but not all Manitoba riding groups or clubs are members of CMMG although the organization was organized 30 years ago and many CMMG members tend to from the original group. While male riders are still in the majority, more and more female riders are getting their licenses and riding. Motorcycling can be a costly interest requiring a motorcycle, safety gear, special insurance and money / time to travel and money to cover traveling costs (food, lodging, gas, oil, repairs, incidentals).
Project Request: CMMG Board of Directors and the general membership are concerned about the lack of demographic diversity represented by the CMMG membership list and the Leadership (Board of Directors). The pandemic also created difficulty for the current membership and leadership to maintain its usual budget and business priorities because most interactions to renew membership and review organizational priorities had previously occurred in person at an organized ride, general membership meeting, event or celebration. Gathering became impossible during the pandemic and many current members did not have access to zoom technology at the beginning of the pandemic. The organization has suffered revenue losses and other challenges to remaining vibrant! The CMMG also has concern about its future given the older (primarily white and mostly male) demographic in leadership and membership. Efforts to engage diverse ages, ethnicities and ages have had minimal success while the overall organizational structure and priorities have remained essentially the same as the original vision for the organization. There are local examples of organizations and gathering efforts where a wide diversity of riders and types of motorcycles gather and discuss their riding commonality. Examples can be discussed with students as part of orientation to the project.
Project deliverables: The CMMG Board of Directors would like a thorough review of the organizations priorities, membership demographic and opportunities with an eye toward making the organization more viable into the future.
What recommendations can assist the CMMG to broaden the membership and leadership from a marketing perspective?
What suggestions are there about how to market what the CMMG organization does, what the benefits are to motorcyclists and how the CMMG could diversify CMMG membership / leadership and maintain the central core of what the organization stands for (representing motorcyclists to all levels of government and MPI)?
What practical ideas could the CMMG Board integrate into the organizations plans in the next few years to represent the voices of a wider population of Manitoba motorcyclists and also remain viable as an organization?
Methods of Data collection can include (but are not limited to):
Surveying of current or past members (riders and / or passengers)

Deliverables include:
