Hi class, so glad to join you this week. This week in class we are going to be discussing three different topics on tracking inmates. The first question we were asked is what is the reason for tracking inmate movement throughout the facility? my answer would be to monitor what kind of behaviors that inmates are having. In person, there are so many things that inmates can do they find ways for drugs, especially in prisons. And they still can have the same reckless behaviors that they had outside the facility. Guards will try to enforce what they can, but just like Police patrolling they won't always find it Immediately.

question two is why Is it more practical to use technology for monitoring inmates in their own home instead of keeping them at a facility? inmates at home that are on house, arrest save time, money and resources. Not only that house arrest isn't cheap. The inmates will then have to pay in for using the devices and all the extra things that they have to for wanting to be at their house instead of in jail. The government then save on food, government time and resources by having the individual at home. Now house arrest doesn't work for all inmates because of obvious reasons they're still a lot of ways that somebody could get in trouble.

Question three is why should mental health consideration be important in the handling and treatment of offenders in jail and prison facilities or while on probation or parole? I believe that mental health should be considered to be important Because you gotta think about how somebody ended up in the position that they are in and a lot of times it is due to mental health and not knowing better. Or knowing better, but not breaking the pattern. And it should be considered, especially in circumstances where somebody doesn't understand that something is wrong.
