Sir Rupert Cobs, a rich aristocrat with no heirs, asks you for advice in drafting his will. He tells you that he would like to give to charitable causes because he wishes to "cement his legacy". Sir Rupert also tells you that he despises poor people and wants to make sure that as little of his money as possible is used to combat poverty.

Advise Sir Rupert as to whether the following clauses set out in his will are for valid charitable purpose trusts. Where clauses are invalid, advise Sir Rupert of how best to amend the clauses so that they will be valid charitable trusts.

a. 15 million to establish 'Cobs Academy', a private school which requires all attending students to pay high fees with no exceptions.

b. 6 million to 'Green Aristocrats', an organisation that educates wealthy individuals on environmental living. 'Green Aristocrats' has spent all of its resources for the last year lobbying the Government to change its policy on the environment. The organisation plans to revert back to its normal activities after the 2024 general election.

c. 4 million to establish an interactive public gallery that immortalises my artistic hobbies. The works include recordings of my renditions of Britney Spears songs, plus the large stone statues of myself that I commissioned the renowned sculptor Percy Krugg to create. The works also include my own oil-paintings, once (in my opinion unfairly) described by an art critic as 'complete rubbish'.

d. 5 million to build affordable housing for my numerous servants and their families, who are the only poor people I can tolerate.
