Online Tutoor president, Mary Montgomery, sent a letter to IT consultant, Julie Martin, to help develop the system for the new services. During the project, Julie will work closely with Ryan Lewis, who manages Online operations. You, as an intern will assist Julie. You are eager for the chance to make a good impression in your first professional job.
Background
Following the decision to use an in-house team to develop a design prototype, Julie began to work on the physical design for Online Tutoorss new information system. At this stage, she is ready to begin working with Ryan on the output and user interface design. Together, Julie and Ryan will seek to develop a user-centered design that is easy to learn and use. Online Tutoors,users will include managers, employees, support staff, and members themselves.
Tasks
- For the prototype user interface, design a switchboard that leads from main sections to subsections of related system tasks. The main sections may include member information, registration, payments, tutoor information, and any other top-level sections necessary for Online Tutoorss system. Subsections may include account information, class registration, schedules, and class rosters. Prepare storyboards that show the proposed screens, including at least two sublevel tasks for each action.
- Members need to be able to request tutoors Online. Follow the guidelines and suggestions in this chapter, and design an Online class registration screen form.
