How do I respond and ask a question: Good evening, class, We made it to week 8! For the final discussion, I decided to talk about cultural dimensions. The company that makes the most sense in this topic is Tesla. Based on the four cultural dimensions that influence leadership, I believe Tesla can be considered to exhibit Power Distance. Power distance refers to the acceptance of power and status differences among individuals within an organization. Members of such an organization recognize that they may receive different opportunities and benefits compared to those in higher positions. In comparison to the low countries, as described in the reading, Tesla displays high power distance. Elon Musk holds substantial authority and appears to have control over his employees. He is essentially the face of Tesla and, due to his power, can dictate the company's direction and the working hours of the employees. They are left with the choice to accept it or seek employment elsewhere. This is why I perceive Tesla as a power distance organization, where Elon Musk is less accessible and holds significantly more power. I hope you all have a great rest of your week! Brandon
