How do you agree or disagree with your peer about how the business or organization is greenwashing and how it is being socially responsible?The company that I am choosing for this discussion is UNFI (United Natural Foods Inc.). I deal with this company daily in my occupation of a grocery store manager. UNFI is a wholesaler who distributes grocery items to grocery stores all over the country. I think that this company uses sustainability practices in the way that they ship products. They are trying to use all electric vehicles and trailers to cut down on their carbon footprint. Safety and well being is another thing that the company is doing to promote sustainability. I see everyday when a truck is delivered to my store that the driver of the truck is wearing a reflective vest to promote safety. I think that the company could be greenwashing in the category of environmental friendly vehicles. In my 3 years working with UNFI I have yet to see an electric vehicle deliver goods to my store. I do believe that UNFI is being socially responsible by trying to utilize electric vehicles to reduce their carbon footprint as well as utilizing safety protocols
