If I were a novice about organizational dynamics and the four frames, I would have gotten a pretty good foundational understanding of what the four frames are and how they relate to organizational leadership and decision-making processes. A suggestion I can make is that the team could have added more depth to the topic, but providing specific examples and demonstrating how these frames can be used in an actual scenario. This could have been done by using a global issue and analyzing it through one or more frames. Furthermore, I think when speaking about the four frames, it is essential to mention that rarely leaders utilize one frame only, but that a two-frame or multi-frame approach is what can help leaders see situations from different angles and perspectives (Boleman & Deal, 2017). While leaders might naturally gravitate to a specific frame, a combination of two or more are usually used when applying this model. The article "The Four Frames of Leadership: Untangling Complexity" (2023) by Dan Doersken provides great insights in how each frame can be used in an actual scenario and how the frames can work together in order to navigate complex situation as a leader. As Doersken says, the concept of the four frames or "mental models" gives us an opportunity "to see problems from different angles and learn to ask better questions." (Doersken, 2023)
