How to respond to the DQ answer? Do you agree?

Steve Jobs is one of the first people that comes to mind when thinking about a leader I respect and admire for their innovative ability. Kaipa (2012) calls his ability to persuade others "the mental model innovation;" when a speaker can create a reality distortion field, reframing one's logic to convince them that the speaker's way of doing things is best. Reframing perception may present new insights and solutions; while the answer may not be innovative, the old problem seen through the new set of eyes is an essential innovation skill.

By demonstrating these skills, Jobs transferred his process to employees, which then created a similar impact on others on a smaller scale. The organization has sustained innovation and structures using the mental model innovation. Jobs pushed his organization to innovate, leading Apple to become an industry leader and maintaining that standard.

Jobs reframed the model of success; instead of cost-cutting, innovating became his measure of success (Kaipa, 2012). I recognize the commonality of reframing the logic of others between myself and the Apple founder: Though my methods are not on par with Jobs, I can assist others with reframing their logic to view from another perspective. Jobs was able to inspire his employees to see a new world of possibilities in products by helping them see it through his eyes -- people are unwilling to buy into a new business model without effective reframing.
