When considering questions for my survey for the immigrant community, the needs most relevant to this population are housing and food, healthcare, and legal assistance. Immigrants face difficulties accessing stable and affordable housing, especially in areas with high housing costs. Food insecurity can also be a significant challenge, particularly for newly arrived immigrants. In my state of Nevada, certain non-citizens may be eligible for SNAP benefits (food stamps), but there are different waiting periods depending on immigration status. Access to healthcare can be limited due to language barriers, immigration-related fears, and a lack of affordable insurance. Additionally, there are waiting periods as well. Immigrants, including lawful permanent residents (green card holders), are subject to a 5-year waiting period after obtaining "qualified" immigration status. This is absurd. Addressing access to healthcare must take into account professional interpreting services. According to Allegri et al., (2025), the limited availability of interpreting services in the healthcare industry hinders accurate communication of medical information and patient understanding, which limits patients' adherence to care recommendations and medication use. The final community need when considering survey questions for immigrants is the need for legal assistance
