how would you respond to " As a Sergeant Major, we use many ways of thinking to reflect upon the way we handle situations. We use our critical thinking and creative thinking during implementations on planning, training, execution, and supervision of our daily duties and responsibilities. We make decisions based upon many variables of our Mission and Command intent. Such variables include the climate and culture of the organization. Through our assessment, collaboration, and analysis, we can develop a plan of action on taking the correct steps towards solutions inside and outside of our organization. An effective strategic leader understands the organization at multiple levels, transcending from an inside perspective to how outsiders see it (ADP 6-22, 8 February 2019, p. 11-2).

We can build specialized teams to focus on target trends. Creating a team requires collaboration to build trust, a strong communication channel, loyalty, professionalism, and much more. Working as team brings forth maximum effort and support to influence others. We, as Leaders, need to focus on the many changes that will continue to affect our Military organization. We need to prepare ourselves and our Soldiers to adapt as needed. Instilling in our Soldiers and peers that continuous knowledge means developmental growth. Sergeant Majors' foresees the bigger picture, which is to educate and develop our organization to be resilient, culturally aware, professional, mentally, and physically capable to sustain any task or mission.
