(Each costs $50,000.) You investigate and find that you can ship the crankshafts from China to India and incur only an 8% import tariff. If you ship to India instead of the US, the work to assemble the crankshafts in the engines will now occur in India. Your India subsidiary has the same quality rating as your US facility.
