  • To start the simulation, go to the link at the top of this page.
  • The design of our simulation today is to be able to determine how varying the height from which your projectile is launched (changing vertical displacement) affects its time of flight and range.
  • For all your measurements, keep the following variables fixed throughout the entire simulation: the type of projectile used, the air resistance (choose no air resistance), projection angle, and initial velocity.

Go to the following website

choose the tab that says Lab then, Set your initial values, Keep your initial values fixed all the time. Start changing the height of the cannon by dragging it upwards. Press the red button in the bottom middle of the screen to shoot the projectile. Measure the range and the time of flight by dragging the measuring tool at the top right of the screen.

Record your measurements in the following table:

then please make a lab report, Analyze and Evaluate these questions:

1- how does changing the vertical displacement of a projectile affect its range and time of flight?

2- Write a statement that describes the relationship between vertical displacement and theoretical time of flight.

3- Write a statement that describes the relationship between the vertical displacement and theoretical range.

4- What were your Independent and dependent variables of this simulation?

5-How can you manipulate other variables to study the projectile motion?
